Why is it required?
Every property that is sold or let needs a valid energy performance certificate, rated from A to G (Royal Decree 390/2021). It is valid for up to 10 years, or 5 if rated G.
For tourist use, Law 6/2025 also sets a minimum: class F for properties built before 2008 and class D for later ones. If yours falls short, we tell you which improvements fix it.
